For me, the fall TV season officially kicks-off tonight with the arrival of Survivor 19: Samoa on CBS (Global for us Canucks). I haven’t heard much about the upcoming season and only caught a few seconds of a commercial.
Here’s what we know: There are 20 contestants (10 women and 10 men) ranging in age from 22 to 62. There are people from all walks of life including a personal chef, oil company tycoon, bartender, t-shirt designer and a doctor. There are also a couple of hairstylists and at least four contestants with legal backgrounds.
All I can tell from looking at the participant bios is that they cast a very physical group of players and, once again, quite a bit of eye candy regardless of your personal taste.
As always I try to predict an early season favourite to take to the end. Last season I picked Erinn, and despite almost getting voted-out early in the game, Erinn survived until the final three…not too shabby a prediction.
So, my pre-season choice for sole-survivor is Mick, the young, single doctor from L.A. No reason. Just a hunch. First voted out will be Shannon. The mulletted Marine doesn’t stand a chance.
