If you’re a Nintendo fan, and you can’t wait to get your hands on the Wii U, you’re in luck! There are plenty if them on shelves this holiday season. Don’t let the lack of demand fool you though, this is a fun system that deserves a place on your TV stand.

Mat Langford’s Gaming World – Nintendo Wii U is pretty awesome!
When it comes to video game companies, Nintendo has been there from the beginning. They’ve consistently put out quality, revolutionary consoles and games for the last 20+ years. So when I watched the E3 press conference reveal of the new Wii U, I was a little confused. It wasn’t different enough from its predecessor to be considered revolutionary.
The Wii, upon its initial release, was one of the most anticipated consoles ever. The motion control was really the first of its kind, and allowed young and old to intuitively grasp the controls for games that would otherwise be out of their league. Lines on launch day wrapped around store corners and it was all but impossible to procure one for the holidays. The Wii U, in comparison, can be found on shelves everywhere and for all intents and purposes, is simply a Wii with a video-screen controller. The graphics weren’t much different – albeit a bit better – and there seemed to be no real motivation to run out and buy one.
I got to try it out first-hand at an event put on by Warner Bros. in Toronto (Thanks WB!), and it was an opinion changing experience.

Mat Langford’s Gaming World: Nintendo’s E3 Presentation Rundown
Nintendo took the stage at 12pm EST (9am PST) with one of the most anticipated shows of E3. They not only had the Wii U system to announce, but also a surging 3DS platform and games.
Yet, somehow, they gave us the most disappointing show so far.

It’s almost here!
Known as “the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games and related products”, the Electronic Entertainment Expo or “E3″ trade show kicks off June 5, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It’s truly one of the most exciting times of the year for any fan of gaming or the culture surrounding it!
There are a lot of reasons to be excited about it this year as the biggest names in gaming are making some big announcements. Let’s take a look at some of the bigger stories that could potentially come out of the show this year.
