Glee’s third episode of the season which airs this Thursday at 9pm is titled “The Quarterback” and will be a tribute to Finn Hudson, the lovable football jock with the heart of gold.
Cory Monteith who played Finn Hudson during the first four seasons of the show passed away on July 13th this year at the age of 31. An autopsy revealed that the actor died of “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”
The episode was filmed about a month after Cory died, and the emotion is real. Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy recently said in an interview, “What you will see in the episode is what really happened,” Murphy said of the hour. “…those performances that you’ll see, almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance because the actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it. I’ve never seen a crew that you can’t continue shooting because they’ve left the room sobbing”
This week, the ‘Hit List’ is read on Smash, everyone is dating on Psych, Justin Timberlake rocks Saturday Night Live, it’s Thanksgiving on Community, and then there’s the season finale of White Collar.

As I’ll be covering American Horror Story’s second season in the coming weeks, both Andy and I agreed that a recap of the first season’s events is in order. The first season focuses on the Harmon family, who has their fair share of issues long before any ghosts show up. The most prominent is the fallout from Dr. Harmon’s affair with one of his patients. They’ve moved to a mansion in Los Angeles as a means to a fresh start, but it isn’t long before their demons and a slew of other malevolent spirits and unwelcome neighbors come on the scene to wreak twisted, over-the-top havoc.
