Two new releases want your money, but will either of them find an audience? Here’s our prediction:
No Good Deed stars the increasingly popular Idris Elba in a home invasion thriller. It’s been weeks since a new film has made any sort of impact in theatres, so No Good Deed could be want audiences ordered. Look for a first place debut with $17.5 million.
Also out this weekend is Dophin Tale 2, the sequel to the surprisingly successful 2011 film with Harry Connick Jr. and Ashley Judd. One thing audiences definitely have been starved for is a new family film, so this one will surely do the trick. Look for a second place showing with $16.5 million, though don’t be surprised if it managed a few more dollars to claim the first place spot.
As for the rest of the top five, Guardians of the Galaxy will hit third place with $7 million. Let’s Be Cops will be fourth with $4.5 million, while Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will close things out in fifth with $3 million.
