Check Out The Cover To Avengers vs X-Men: Round One

Last week we shared with you exclusive promotional images of the upcoming Avengers vs X-Men miniseries. Now, courtesy of our friends at Marvel, we’ve got the cover image for the very first issue, due out in April. The talent on this title is pretty awesome – it’s written Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by John Romita Jr. Take a look at the cover and it’s clear to see – all these characters are really angry about something!

Tales from the Longbox – Uncanny X-Men #143 (1981)

Every other week, Jason Shayer will highlight an issue or a run of issues pulled from the horde of comic book long boxes that occupy more room in his house than his wife can tolerate. Each of these reviews will delve into what made that issue or run significant as well as discuss the creative personalities behind the work. “Long Box” refers to the lengthy, white cardboard boxes most comics find themselves stored within – bagged, alphabetized and numerically ordered.

Now, hands up if you’re old enough to remember that crush you had on Kitty. This issue may remind you why you fell in love with her. For everyone else who’s probably a newer comic book reader and wondering what’s the big deal about Kitty, this issue will give you some insight into why she’s so cherished.
