Biff Bam Pop’s Box Office Predictions – Weekend of September 30th
Three big new movies are hitting theatres this weekend, but I think that there’s less than a 50/50 chance that one of them will top the box office. See what I did there? Let’s take a look at what’s on screens and where I think they’ll land when the dust settles Sunday.
The Kindle Fire is coming to the U.S. Sorry, Canada.
First of all, let’s start this off by saying that the Kindle Fire is NOT an iPad killer.
Yeah, I know you’ve heard it, but let’s face it, there aren’t many things out there with the features and brand backing to dethrone the mighty Apple from the top of the tablet empire. Everyone wants to be the iPad, but it’s a daunting task, and has universally resulted in failure.

Well folks, another festival season is drawing to a close. We’ve seen another year of Lollapaloozas, Jazz Festivals, and Edgefests, only to drift into the reality of autumn – back to school, back to work. Although I tend to ignore the fact and wear sandals straight into November (I may be intelligent, but I’m not claiming to be sensible), I must admit to myself that the balmy festival days of summer are once again behind me. There’s still an annual two-day event that I wish I could fly away to, however: The Bridge School Benefit.
